Join us for the Aquarium's 5th annual Sea Lion Rescue Run 5K to support our non-releasable sea lions and seals! The run will take place on a certified course at Whirlpool State Park with an after party at the Aquarium! Healthy snacks and beverages will be provided along with live music and a Sea Lion Show!
The Sea Lion Rescue Run 5K supports the care of our 11 rescued sea lions and seals, which have been deemed non-releasable-unable to survive in the wild.
The 5K will take place on a certified course, starting at the picnic shelter at Whirlpool State Park; South toward the overpass to a turnaround area; the course will head back North towards Devil's Hole State Park and turn around to head back South toward Whirlpool State Park to the finish line.
Healthy nourishment of snacks and beverages will be available at the State Park, followed by an Awards Reception at the Aquarium of Niagara. The awards will be truly unique-each painting made by one of our resuced sea lions! The Awards Reception will feature healthy snacks and beverages along with live music and entertainment including a sea lion show!
All Sea Lion Rescue Run 5K participants will receive free admission to the Aquarium for the entire day.
